Hanshin Koshien Stadium, Nishinomiya, Hyogo prefecture

Hanshin Koshien Stadium, mostly called as Koshien stadium is a baseball stadium in Nishinomiya, Hyogo prefecture. It is owned by Hanshin Electric Railway Co., a major private railway company in Kansai area. The company also owns a professional baseball team, Hanshin Tigers which belongs to Central League of NPB. Koshien stadium is not only the home of Tigers but also hosts national high school baseball tournaments twice each year. One in March and the other one in August. Especially the tournament in August is widely called as Koshien. High school baseball players dream are to play at Koshien = Hanshin Koshien Stadium. The field is managed and maintained by Hanshin Engei, definitely the most famous groundkeeper in Japan.


The stadium has good connections from Osaka and Kobe. Take Hanshin trains from Osaka Umeda, Osaka Namba or Kobe Sannomiya stations.
