Rugby World Cup 2019 will be held in Japan this autumn. It will take place in 12 stadiums throughout Japan between 20 September and 02 November. 20 teams will compete to become the world champion. The favorites are New Zealand and Australia which New Zealand defeated Australia on the final of RWC 2015. Underdogs are South Africa, which was third place in RWC 2015 and Argentina, the fourth place.

Japan of course will participate the RWC 2019 and the nation is really anticipating the games. Japan was always Asian Champion but all the time losing to other teams in the RWC, normally lost all matches in the first round - pool stage. However, Japan defeated South Africa, 34-32,which was one of the biggest upsets in Rugby history. Japan won another two matches against Samoa and USA but could not proceed to the knockout stage.

It is a good chance for rugby fans to visit Japan but on the other hand, it will be a disaster for tourists who are not interested in rugby at all. Hotels around the stadiums will be sold out and trains will be crowded. Therefore if you are planning to travel Japan during RWC and you are not interested in rugby, better to avoid this term.
