After reaching Miyanoura port in Naoshima, you have to take a municipal bus if you want to go to the museums. For guests of Benesse house, the hotel offers complimentary shuttle bus from the port. The municipal bus leaves at platform number 2.
The municipal bus is not free of charge but JPY 100 per ride. Get on from the front door but you have to pay when you get off(same front door). You get on the front door too in Tokyo but you have to pay immediately and you have to get off from the rear door. Other cities are usually getting on from the rear door but pay when you are getting off from the front door. The municipal bus does not accept any banknotes nor Suice(IC card)! Please be ready to have 100 yen coin per person before getting on!
The bus itself is small, a minibus. There is a luggage space in the front part. If you are heading to Chichu Art museum, take this bus to Tsutsujiso, final stop. By the way, drivers do not use microphones but announce the stops. At Tsutsujiso, take the Benesse's free shuttle which is running inside their premises. Chichu Art museum will be the last stop.
You will get off in front of the ticket center where you will be greeted by the staffs.
Then, you have to walk couple of minutes to enter the museum.
