Nice day - Departure

Campaign song of JNR(Japanese National Railways), predecessor of JR, in 1978.

JNR used this song as DISCOVER JAPAN campaign, promoting Japanese to take their trains.

Momoe Yamaguchi, one of the most famous and succeeded female singer at that time was chosen to sing the campaign song. The song was written by Shinji Tanimura. The song's title means Nice day (for) departure.

The most impressive part of the lyrics is "Somewhere in Japan, there is someone who is waiting for me".
